The Dog Days of Summer!

Oliver and Shadow Arbor B&B's official greeters are taking it cool today in the backyard pool. They are never too sure it this is a BIG water dish of something to play in. Today the mercury is heading for 30C and thunderstorms so this was a fun thing to do. Oliver and Shadow are from Bondir Kennels in Calgary and are both a big hit with our guests.

Secretly they are hoping for a snowflake as they much prefer the cold to the ultra hot ... maybe it is the black colour. They say hi to all our guests that they have met.

The Ancient Forest near Prince George

There are many one day trips from Prince George . One of my favourites is the Ancient Cedar Forest. This ancient stand of Cedars dating up to 2000 years old was a surprise find by some Forestry Researchers from the University of Northern BC. The Cedars are towering with amazing gnarled branches reminiscent of the "Lord of the Rings". The trail takes about 2 hours return and is easy walking for the whole family. If you are staying in Prince George or traveling the Prince Rupert/Jasper Route this a highly recommended stop.

Summer is definitely here!

The temperature is 30C and Shadow (aka Perle Noire) is very happy to get her summer haircut. Both Shadow and Oliver went in today and I'm sure the groomer is still cleaning up. Oliver and Shadow are real hits at Arbor Bed and Breakfast! They take great pride in showing our guests true Northern Hospitality. Oliver and Shadow are both from Bondir Kennels in Calgary and are the most amazing English Springer Spaniels. Oliver, the older dog (9) is a Pet Therapy Dog and is certified through St. John's Ambulance. Time to go as it is almost 5pm and the "guys" get fed at exactly 5pm ... how do they know?????
